Anna Silk was the first daughter of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a playwright, actor, director, producer and professor at St. Thomas University). Anna Silk was the daughter of a Briton, and an Turkish Cypriot English ex-pat. When she was a kid, she played in commercials for a number of companies. Anna moved to Toronto and moved to Los Angeles in 1999. Seth Cooperman, whom she had met in a Los Angeles actors' workshop earlier in 2007, was her partner in 2009. Anna became a Jew in 2011, after she converted to Judaism. The couple was wed in a civil ceremony in December this year. They then reaffirmed their vows at a Jewish ceremony in Fredericton the month of April in 2011.
